Geneious Pro 3.8 brings the features you have been waiting for

Posted on 08 Jul 2008 23:06

Geneious Pro 3.8 has just been released and it's sure to be a hit! We have taken all our most hotly requested features and added them all to this great new release of Geneious Pro:

GenBank format export – Now you can export fully annotated sequences from Geneious in the widely recognized GenBank format, giving you a new level of interoperability. Any modifications or annotations you've made in Geneious are preserved in the GenBank file.

Vector trimming – An implementation of NCBI's well-established VecScreen tool is now built into the Geneious Trim Sequence functionality. It includes the UniVec database and is fully integrated, i.e. contig assembly will ignore trimmed regions without you having to throw them away.

Cloning support – Geneious now keeps track of the sticky ends created when you digest a sequence into fragments using restriction enzymes. Plus, there is a new Ligate Sequences function to check and ligate compatible sequence ends.

Even if you have tried Geneious Pro before, you can download the latest Geneious Basic v3.8 and automatically receive a free 14-day trial of the full Geneious Pro functionality.

Alternatively, turn on your speakers and watch our two minute video demonstration to see these exciting new features in action.
