Biomatters announce Geneious Server™ Private Beta
Posted on 03 Mar 2010 15:42
Geneious Server™ is a completely new software package designed specifically for high intensity computational needs. It will be sold separately from Geneious Pro™ and is designed to run on a 64-bit Linux computer. Geneious Pro users with access to Geneious Server will be able to offload heavy data crunching to the server or use the integrated Sun Grid Engine scheduling capabilities of Geneious Server to harness the power of their existing clusters.
Three specialty modules will also be available to address areas of heavy computation with a click of a button from Geneious Pro on your desktop. The first modules to be released will be Next Generation Sequence Assembly, Phylogenetics and Sequence Analysis. These modules will give you the ability to run industry-leading algorithms such as Maq, Velvet, Bowtie, ClustalW and MrBayes at the click of a button from inside Geneious Pro. There will be more algorithms and programs coming in the future, so we look forward to hearing from you about which ones you would most like to offload to Geneious Server or your cluster. Please email us at feedback@geneious.com with your suggestions.

I currently have a Linux server for OpenMPI and R. I would like to test Geneious Server with my Geneious Pro clients.
